    1720 Europe : new delays due to leadtime on keyboards

    Just to let you know. I called DELL netherlands today to see if there was any action in my order. Got the news that I will get a new delay notification later this week as there is a leadtime for the internal keyboard. They won't be releaded until 8/31, which means that my ESD of 8/31 won't be reached and i will get a new ESD. More people who have heard issues with the keyboard?

    I guess this will be for all 1720's to be assembled in Ireland. Seriousl thinking of cancelling now but heard that also HP has delivery issues. Was thinking to get the new Hp Pavilion Dv 9595ed , but that has a max resolution of 1440x900 instead of the 1920.

    PS: DELL CSR did not have insight in lead times and parts but had to contact Order management department......

    you've ordered a vostro, they have a black keyboard so you might be lucky....
