I own an Inspiron 1720 and whenever I close the lid, I get the BSOD and my computer restarts. I have the latest graphics driver from Dell. This happens sometimes when my computer's memory is bogged down, in other words I have a couple intensive applications open. What should I do to fix this problem?

You should start by writing down the stop error (letters and numbers you see - usually really long) that you get from the BSOD when you try to awaken the computer. You can google that to find out what driver / hardware / software conflict you might be experiencing. Another thing I would do is change what the computer does when you close the lid (that's in the power options) - to see if the problem gets reproduced.

Try those things first and get back to us!
