Hi forum, wandered in here while trying to spec out a new 1720 and hitting a dead end with on line chat support. I hope some kind soul will provide some assistance!

I'm looking at the following configuration for my 1720:

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz/800MHz FSB/4MB cache)
Video: 256MB nVidia GeForce 8600M GT
    RAM: 3GB DDR2@667MHz
Drive: Blu-ray Combo or Blu-ray Disc Drive
    Sound: Blaster X-Fi Xtreme
    OS: Vista Ultimate

I'd like to use PowerDVD Ultra for Blu-ray and HD DVD (360 add on) playback but, the GeForce 8600 isn't currently on Cyberlink's supported HW list. Also, Dell seems unable to tell me what manufacturer or model Blu-ray drive is being used?

Is anyone using something similar to what I've described here? Assistance is appreciated.
