I just placed an order for a M6300, i received my confirmation letter yesterday and i noticed that i have received a WUXGA truelife samsung screen. I've been doing a good amount of research and from my findings i've read tons of bad things about 17" wuxga screens made by samsung.

I'm getting a bit worried about how the screen will look once i get it... I was wondering how do you guys like your 17" WUXGA samsung screens? explain.

    thanks!

My father has a WUXGA screen on his M90 - it's fantastic. No problems.

My M90's non glossy WXGA (LG) looks BAD compared to my XPS's LG WUXGA.

To a large extent how a screen looks is subjective. Get the laptop in and see whether or not you like it. You can always try and get it replaces or return the notebook.

My Samsung WUXGA (Vostro 1700) is just fine (kock on wood). No dead or stuck or otherwise sick pixels. Very bright. Fantastically crisp, but that's just the resolution / dpi. A bit of backlight bleeding from the bottom but not noticeable in normal use. It is quite reflective, but again, I only notice this when the screen is black (e.g., in Command Prompt). Mine has 2 dark shadow-like diagonal "streaks" in the 2 bottom corners, but they only draw attention when the whole screen is of some uniform color (like when running Dead Pixel Buddy), so it's not much of a problem. Overall, I'm quite happy, so don't worry!

mine is very similar to M1chel. The only problem that I have with my Vostro 1700 WUXGA is a slight backlight bleed in both of the bottom corners. (It extends less than an inch diagonally from those 2 corners.) otherwise both the screen and computer are perfect

I love my Samsung WUXGA. Been a year and it's still as fantastic as ever. :D
