I'm thinking about ordering a 15R 2nd gen i3 2310. It comes with 3GB RAM standard or 4GB for $30 extra. So does that mean it comes with a 2GB stick in one slot and 1GB stick in the other slot? If I order it with 4GB, will it be a single 4GB stick?

It says "single channel" on the 4GB option, and "dual channel" on the 3GB and 6GB options. This makes me think the 4GB is a single stick.

Single channel 4GB is a single stick. I have the 2nd gen 14r Inspiron and that is what it came with. I ended up buying another 4GB stick online to make it 8GB in dual channel.
