    Hello guys,
I have this laptop for 7 years and I love it.
Few years ago I had an issue with it and to be more precise it was not booting. After the pressing the power button the only indication was a single white blink of the power led and that was it. For the moment I've solved it by reseating the CPU.
This solution lasted till today when I had the exact same symptoms. I've reseated the CPU again and tested it before screwing the bottom cover - it was working okay. I've decided to change the thermal compound and then reassemble the laptop. Once the last bolt was screwed I was terrified to see that it didn't boot again. I repeated the whole CPU reseating thing and the story repeated once again.
The conclusion I've come up to is that if the CPU cooler is connected to the mother board the laptop is not booting. If I disconnect it - there is no issue.

I'll be really grateful if you can share your thoughts and experience on this topic.

PS Is the CPU cooler same as the 1537? I think I would be able to buy a used one for test if it's compatible.
