hey guys. i just got my 1530 a few days and tried everything out, and seems everything is perfect, except for the wlan compartment. its running really hot. if im downloading something and close the lid, then after 30 mins or so, i open it back up and the mouse pad stops working properly for a couple of mins due to the heat from the wlan compartment. has any else experienced this before? is this normal? should i get a cooling pad? should i reinstall the mini card? any help/insights would be appreciated.

What kind of mouse pad do you have that stops working?

hmm that doesnt seem normal. I dont have that laptop, but my vostro wlan gets rather warm (about as hot as the ram sticks). If its causing other components not to work like you said, id then call up dell and ask them for a fix or a replacement system.

thanks nizzy. this only happens if the wifi switch is on for awhile. if i turn it off, it would just be warm.
