    Hello,

The default brightness keeps changing everytime I turn it on to a little less than half way. I make it brighter but then it reverts back the next time. Is there a way to set it so it doesn't keep changing? Thanks.

Hi rstrauss33. Does it change automatically when you start windows or come back from stanby mode? Or does it change randomly while using your computer?

Try left-clicking on the battery icon in the right side of your taskbar. Then click "More Power Options."

Under the power plan that is currently selected, click "Change plan settings."

Using the "adjust display brightness" sliders that appear, you can set the default brightness that your notebook will be set to automatically each time you start Windows.

Thanks for the advice darthsat...to tell you the truth I think it may change when coming back from stanby even but definitely when I start windows. I'll try your suggestion for starting the default each time it starts from windows.

Ok, sounds like the power plan setting is the cause then.

Try moving the slider that I mentioned and it should fix it.

You might also check your Bios to see what it is set at.
