    1530 no screen saver wtf?

    hey so i'm running my 1530 on hi performance power setting when plugged in. the problem is my screen saver never turns on and the screen never times out even though i have the times set in every option that i know off. wtf?

    Try cleaning your touchpad and/or lowering the sensitivity. My old Inspiron 5100 occasionally has the same problem, and it's usually caused by dust on the touchpad (the system basically thinks the mouse is still barely moving back and forth).

    yea i got a usb wireless mouse. when i do the preview screen saver it works. but thats it i wont actually work when the top is idle.

    cuz i like leaving it on so it can dl things while i sleep and such.

    Try turning off your mouse to see if the screensaver comes up.

    its not a problem with your 1530 laptop,
    its an issue with vista....
    i have the same problem on my desktop sometimes.

    Search up vista screensaver problem in google. :D

    The default power settings put the laptop to sleep/standby mode when the lid is closed - you can change this so it does nothing if you like (the screen will still switch off when closed).
