anyone here with the bd-re drive on their xps 1530 ?
the drive is rated at 2x writing for bd-r, I bought media that is 2x and the drive is picking up the media as 2x but never writes faster then 0.97x as reported by roxio and nero takes too long to write 22gb of data like 1hour 35mins+

I had the drive replaced twice and got a few system exchange for other issues but the bluray writing is still stuck at 1x

That doesnt sound bad. It could be limited by the read rate of your hard drive or a similar limitation. Remember its typically not advisable to write at the drives or medias max speed as this can cause an error. You wouldn't want to make a coaster out of that expensive blue ray disk now would you?

well it's not HD problem cause 2x bluray is at 9mb/s if the HD can't do that then there's a problem , I don't want coasters but why is dell advertising it at 2x writing when it can't achive that
