    1530 acceptable temp range

    So I have my 1530 and growing tired of the fan coming on at full speed -- if I put a fan utility on and keep the fan low to where the temps stay under 140, is that okay? It makes the machine 10x more tolerable.

    are you talking in Celsius or Fahrenheit im assuming the latter b/c if that celsius it is to high if its fahrenheit its just fine the processor should be ok up to about 70 C and the video card up to 100C, but these are the absolute maximums they should be below this

    umm, no. The C2D processors used in the xps 1530 regularily go to 80 degrees during gaming, and thats not even maximum. I try to keep the video card around 80 degrees as well, but i have it OC'ed

    Yeah, just so you know, for computer temps, Celsius is the universal temperature. No one uses Fahrenheit.
