I have a XPS 1530. For some reason whenever I have my wrists on the keyboard in a typing position, the palmrest area really bothers my skin.
I type with my wrists on the keyboard and the feeling my wrist/palms get from the material is very annoying.
Has anybody had any success covering it up? Does anybody have the same problem?

Do you get this feeling only if the laptop is plugged into the wall?
Is it a static-y, resistance type feel? Almost as though the metal is rubbing strangely?
If the feeling goes away when its running on battery, you're suffering from this:

Call dell, have them swap your two prong power adapter for the 3 prong.
The issue is that the alternating-ground two prong adapter leaks directly into the aluminum frame.
Its not harmful, to you or laptop, but its annoying as hell.
The part number for the 3 prong grounded adapter is
K2596 Kit, Cord, Flat, 6 foot,D3W/3PP65
U7809 Assembly,Adapter,Alternating Current,90W,Lead Free,Liteon
Ever since I received my 3 prong adapter i haven't felt what you're describing.
Good luck! -

Well if mine does that... I am going to load up Bioshock and see how it helps getting me more immersed into the game
