Will Dell eventually offer them for home and home office?

I've been patiently waiting for the LED screen since the 1530 came out. I'm betting we see this soon. Aside from belonging to a qualifying business, does anyone know what the difference is between the Home/Home Office and Small Biz offerings?

I think you just need to tell Dell that you are a small home business.

Sweet. Once they offer it with a matte screen, I'll consider it for my next notebook.

DITTO. Matte is a big selling point to me. I am sick and tired of cleaning this screen twice a day

I spoke with Dell small business and was told that if you order say 10 of the same computers from small business they will all have identical parts inside like hard drive ... . He said they pick the better components of the batch to use in business machines. Remember I am merely relaying what he said. I dont have a clue if any of it is true.

Well I got the inferior samsung through business so you can forget whatever he says. They'll obviously say anything to get you to buy.

This was a while back. I never ordered from small business. When I did, I ordered from Dell home and still returned it and got another brand.
That has nothing to do with the price of coffee but some of these people are snakes.

Does this mean even though its an LED screen there will still be a grainy samsung version and a good LG version?

Looks like Dell is keeping the 2MP camera with the LED instead of the VGA cam.

So can I buy an LED 1440x900 screen through Dell Parts, replace it with my LG 1680x1050 screen and just sell the LG screen? I wouldn't mind the lower resolution as long as it means the LED would give me a boost in battery.

Although correct me if i'm wrong, I don't think thats possible on the xps m1330 since the LED is thinner? I'm still within my return period for my XPS m1530 (one week left actually). Although I am happy with my computer, I can't help but be tempted.

I've never seen an LED display in person before, how big of a difference should there be between a good LG and a good LED?

My understanding is it should be more uniform in brightness, but will the colors be more vibrant?

I was at BestBuy recently and they had a LG Notebook (P300 I think) with LED on display. Walking down the aisle looking at the row of notebooks you could see from 10' away that LG was supperior to all other notebooks.

So it's worth it to wait until they have the LED option for Home buys?

I wouldn't because I like my 1680x1050 LG lcd. Now if they made a 1680x1050 LED LCD that would be a different story.
