    1525- sound issues

    I have issues with sound while playing the online video, it is distorted the dvd and stored files works file... inspiron 1525

    Hi,

    Consider updating the Adobe flash player to the latest version available. Once you update the flash player, please enable the ‘Hardware Acceleration’. To do so please follow the steps mentioned below.

    • Right click on your Player and select "Settings"
    • The Settings dialog will appear, change the tab at the bottom to display (if not already there) and check the "Enable hardware acceleration" checkbox.

    Thank you...dellswapnajan.. the online video is working much better now..when I play certain video with the media player, I get error about compatibility most of the times with the new dvds.. any fixes????

    Hi CSharon,

    This seems like the media player program which is running in the system doesn’t have the appropriate codecs available. If the codec s are not up-to-date media player may not be able to identify certain video/audio file formats.

    As a work around for this you may install some other players like VLC or you may also install the latest codec pack available for the Media player.

    Please select and install the programs at your own discretion, you may use the online search engine for the same.

    My System was very slow and freezing quite often so I installed the Windows agin..it worked finr for few days but now it is slow and freezing again....what else can be done?????

    It could be either because of the Operating System or the hardware. To isolate the issue you may run a “Pre-boot System Assessment”. Have you done a clean Windows installation? If you have deleted the recovery partition during the windows installation you may use the Recourse DVD to Run the Dell 32 bit diagnostics. Using the 32 bit diagnostics please run custom test on Hard Drive, Memory and Processor.

    I followed the instructions and found the error 0146..and 32 bit also says read errors..but it is working .From the website it shows hard drive problems do i have to replace the hard drive?

    As both PSA and 32 bit diagnostics indicates that the hard drive has issues, it may fail at any time. I would suggest backing up all your data before it crashes. You may consider getting a new hard Drive soon.
