Ok so I installed Win 8 Pro on my Inspiron 1525 and because Dell didn't have graphics drivers that work for 64bit os, I downloaded the GMA965 drivers straight from Intel. Well when I install it it only works briefly and when I turn my laptop off it goes away. It also causes Photoshop Premiere Pro and the screensaver to not work. Does ANYONE know what to do to fix this?

You could try drivers for the GMA 965 from another Dell laptop that has 64-bit drivers if you can find one.

Is there a reason why Windows7 didn't work for you or do you not have W7x64? I have 1525 with Windows7x64 Ult Sp1 and intel GMA and it woks fine. I think you loading a O/S that doesn't seems to work properly with that old of a hardware?

I wanted to run Win 8 because I personally like it as an OS, and will likely run it as I upgrade laptops.

Just remember the 1525 isn't a touch screen so your going to have to use keyboard and mouse something which the 1525 uses and that defeats the purpose of a tablet touch screen on the 1525. But if you feel you want it then by all means go ahead that is your choice.

I fixed the issue myself by using Windows 7 drivers (they work in w8).

In that old of a useful dell that O/S did not benefit that laptop much. IMO
