I know the 1420 is smaller but heard the 1525 is very sleek and "feels" smaller.

I thnk the 1525 looks very nice myself. But the 1420 is smaller and can be outfitted with a high resolution screen. In truth the 1420 is lighter as well. I think the best way to deside this would be to take a trip to the local Dell kiosk or Bestbuy and check out some Dell notebooks in person.

It feels smaller most likely because of the lack of a dedicated graphics card option. You can't magically stuff a 128MB video card into a 14" laptop without a little bulk. You could say that the 1330 is an exception to that but it costs a lot more. It could be sleeker because of the new glossy lid with graphics on it.

the 1525 is smaller, lighter, and better looking. If you won't be playing any modern games, the 1525 is the better choice. Besides, the 8400M GS can't handle games made in 2007 anyways.

haha true, the 8400 is almost pointless since it can't handle much anyways.

True, it cant handle games like Crysis, but there are so many other not so gfx intensive games out there, that would run perfectly on 8400, like RTS and even role playing games. It is not on par with 8600 series or anything, but much better than a X3100. Not to mention the advantages of 2D graphics when driving high resolution external monitors or viewing HD content. What I'm trying to say its not always about running Crysis or Bioshock at high resolutions with max details
