I upgraded my Inspiron 1525 to Windows 7 when it first came out and I tried to use my microphone array the other day and it wouldn't work. I check across other threads suggesting various solutions, none of which have worked for me.

It used to work for me on Windows XP and I'm sure it's a driver issue. I've updated to all the latest Dell software for my laptop, none of which has solved the problem.

I can see the microphone array listed under 'Recording Devices' but nothing I do gets it to work. I've reinstalled Dell and Creative webcam software as well. I've noticed in Audacity, no recording inputs are listed and the selection area is disabled.

Ps. a bonus would be a solution for getting that thing working where you can record directly from your system as the audio plays, I can't remember what it's called.

    Thanks in advance.

I have the exact same problem with my studio 1537 after I upgraded to Windows 7.
