So i took apart my laptop to fix the headphone whine and was successful in that regard, however when i turned the laptop back on, it booted into the diagnostic screen and said that no touch pad was detected. The funny thing is that it works fine once i get into windows. Now it boots straight to windows, but i went back to check if it found it and it still cant... weird. just thought id share that with yall.
