are you getting the blue screen of death? I had the same exact problem with a desktop inspiron. It usually has to do with memory (ram). One of the ram chips in my desktop was actually busted and once I removed it the computer never got the blue screen of death ever again (that reminds me i still have to get dell to send me replacement ram because that comp is under warranty).
Trust me it took me about a week of tedious reinstallations of different operating systems (both vista and xp) to finally realize what the problem was. -
i surely do..when i sent the report to windows it said it could be my cpu ram hd or battery,,.hahahaha, i spent a whole freakin day to figure out that it aint goin to work,,called dell up and made them send me a new one right away,,,looks like im goin to buy warranty for 3 years,,,sigh,,,hope they had 10 years 100000 miles warranty..

I really hope I don't have a repeat of those blue screens of death when I get my 1520. That was one hell of a weekend...lots of hair pulling and hand gestures pointed at my desktop.
-
it just happened again,,grrrr... i have to bear with this for 2 weeks,,amazing,,,ei farelli how much did u spend on ur 1520?
-
$1,510.85...how about you?
-
1090 damn. D nly diff is d screen hav d anti glare.
-
my battery might be the problem cause i took it out and the blue screen havent appeared yet...im guessing the car adapter that i bought from them broke it,,would it break the battery if the adapter is 65 watts instead of 90 watts??
1520 critical errors... :<
