What's the performance difference between the T7100 and T7300? I know on the desktop versions, the extra 2MB of cache doesn't make much difference. Same thing go for the laptop processors?

Is the integrated sound blaster HD software edition worth it?

As far as the processor its not a huge difference. Its not like you would notice the difference if the processors were swapped under your nose, in fact the only time you would probably notice would be a benchmark like super pi. Other advantages of the T7100 are slightly reduced power usage which means less heat and longer battery life... but its all minor. If its not too expensive then you might as well go for the T7300, but if your strapped for cash and want decent performance then go for the T7100 and go for more RAM which you will notice.

In the end they are both in the same processor range, which happens to be the latest and fastest mobile processor range out there so you wont be disappointed with performance either way.

As for the Soundblaster HD i can't comment that much, but with a set of laptop speakers/headphones, are you really going to notice the difference?

not much of a difference speed wise if you are just browsing the net or word processing but if u get the T7300, game and video encode for example then you will notice a slight speed difference, as for the cache, in notebooks it doesnt hurt to have more.

The hd software thingy is a slightly different chip onbaord than the original one and software is needed to activate it.
It depends on what your usage is again... if you want basic browsing its not worth it. If you want gaming, lots of listening to music and audio encoding it wont hurt to have it.

Personally i would recommend the T7300 and the Soundblaster Software :)

not much either, other than benchmarks and maybe heavy video encoding you are not going to notice much.

not much a difference in games either, by far the limiting factor will the the GPU
