This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Does the Dell 1520 card reader support CF cards?

    no and to my knowledge no current notebooks do either, a good workaround is to purchase a usb external reader they are fairly cheap

    I bought a PC Card CF adapter for my last notebook a couple years ago. Now there is even no PC Card slot on newer notebook. USB card reader (~$5-10) would be the cheaper and more durable solution.
