Alright, I just got my HDD and reinstalled vista and media direct just like on the other post I've seen on this forum with media direct. Now I installed all the drivers from the cd and some missing ones from the website. Now I just entered the Dell webcam center to test out the webcam before calling it a night, and I just realized the webcam lights up, but the software shows nothing, its all black. Restarted the computer, same thing, changed the photo resolution, same thing, photo capture or video or motion, same thing.
anyone have any idea what is wrong and what I should do?

Check for an updated webcam driver and try other drivers for your graphics card, one set of drivers that I had didn't work with the webcam

    Delete Drivers on control panel,

    Restart

Go to dell, type in "drivers and downloads" in the search, enter your service tag and download drivers for the webcam (by creative)

    Restart.

    Lag?

Lag can mean many things. Exactly what was it doing, and under what circumstances was it doing it?

Install the Turbo Memory drivers for Intel and your webcamera should be working fine.... I had the same problem too and got it fixed that way only....

I get a message saying that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements while trying to install the drivers.... surely that can't be right?
