    1520 Sigmatel problem

    Hi, I have vista 32bit. I just installed an updated SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio driver, version 6.10.0.5614, A03.

    I am not sure what I updated from. It was probably the v.6.10.0.5609, A02 driver.

    Anyways, after the restart, there is no sound, and Vista displays an "X" by the sound icon now. I tried uninstalling sigmatel and letting vista choose the correct driver, updating the sigmatel driver, and trying a new driver found in the following thread:

    "Updated Sigmatel drivers for SP1" (I can't post links yet)

    Nothing has worked yet. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can somebody help please?
