I'm trying to figure out which screen my Inspiron 1520 and I am on the Dell support site at the "Original System Configuration" screen. It says "LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., 15.4WXGA, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC...., TLF, LATITUDE CPT..." or my screen. How can I tell which company made it?

Open up device manager (Start, Right-click 'Computer' and click on 'Manage', Device manager tab on the left-hand side) and then click on 'Monitor' and 'Generic PnP Monitor' inside the dropdown. Go to the 'Details' tab, find 'Hardware Ids' under property and the model type will be in the Value section.
