    1520 MIC port (not headphone) static/whine.

    My mic sounds like !@#$ because there is a varying high-pitched whine in the background, sounds like an A/C unit.

    Anyone had this? I know many people complained about the headphone port, but that seems fine.

    No. I have barely anything in my house. I had an HP dv6500t in the same place on the same desk and no had no issues with it... weird. :(

    I turned down "1 mic boost" and it helped a lot.

    I was thinking about updating my Vista Premium to a Vista pro editiong (I bought a key last mont) But if it is this complicated .. maybe .. i'm discouraged..
