I have a friend with a 1545. His keyboard suffered a runin with a sugary drink and the backspace key doesn't work.

I have an extra black keyboard for my 1520. Other than some keycaps being different, I dont see a difference in the keyboard itself. I'm assuming its the same keyboard.

Anyone know if they will work?

I think they might actually be the same. Looking at some ebay pictures, it seems that all the connectors and tabs are in the same place. Not 100% sure, of course, but I'm sure enough that I think you should try it out and tell us how it goes :)

It works. However, the key mapping on the 1545 is different than the 1520. The keyboard I put in the 1545 is labeled for the 1520 but the keys work like they would in the 1545 ...

We tried switching keycaps but the two keyboards were from different manufacturers.
