    No the headphone jack noise, but the whine noise that might come from the cpu. Do you all care about it or it is fine with the rmclock utility. Laptops that are brand new is not supposed to come with whining noises. It is faulty, rmclock is bad for the system. return it! waste of money

    No, it's common in the new notebooks with core 2 duo processors. Mine had that too. You can get used to it though.

    cpu whine is gonna be present in most core 2 duo spec'd laptops now. it's really subtle most of the time, though, so it's not much to stress over in my opinion

    Had it. But I am returning mine coz of some strange noise near the lcd. High pitch noise didn't bother me now.
