I know the 9 cell sticks out a bit on the 1520...hence I'm wondering which sleeve to get. I wanted a 15.4" notebook sleeve as it'd fit just great in my backpack...however I'm wondering if the notebook would fit in there with the 9-cell...I don't want to have to keep taking it out to move the notebook across campus. Does anyone have any recommendations? Does anyone have dimensions of the 1520 WITH the 9 cell inside? Thanks!

lol thanks...don't these belkin sleeves take forever to ship? well it's not like my laptop is going to ship any time soon...but just wondering. Once my laptop ships I'll get a $25 coupon/certificate/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, too...so I could potentially use it on one of these. The brown/blue combo annoys me though

When I ordered mine I was very concerned that I was not going to get it until several weeks after my laptop (Laptop was projected ship 7/19, sleeve was 8/2). However when my laptop shipped miraculously the laptop sleeve shipped the same day and they made it onto the same truck from Riverside to my apartment.

They are quite stretchy - they are made of the same material as a wetsuit. You will have no problem fitting the sleeve with the extended battery. That said, I know the pictures above from my posting showed the battery out. That was just to show it could fit. It actually zips MUCH easier if the battery is to the inside of the case with the zipper along the screen edge of the laptop.

I have a 1520 with the 9 cell and i had a bag that was designed for a 15inch notebook (max). The 1520 fits (snugly mind) with the 9 cell battery in the computer

I got one for 12.99 USD ($14 exact with 7.75% Nevada tax) at my local Fry's. I measured it, and it fits. Neoprene too, not some cheap nylon or anything. It even has a band on the inside running along the zipper to prevent hte sides of the laptop from getting scratched by the hard zipper parts.

Made my "merax" but I don't think it matters... :D

EDIT: I don't forgot the measurements, but I chcked on DELL's website, and I remember it would have fit, even the 9-cell. I like a snug fit anyway, so it's not loose and sagging on the sides--it looks bad on a sleeve.
