    Hey buddies.

I'm piecing together my 1520 review (I know everyone has one already, but I just feel like writing one :p), but there's one issue that I don't want to gripe about if there is someone out there who has figured out a solution.

Factory fresh from Dell, I had the standby Vista bug, I.E.- the computer either wouldn't go into standby fully (just get to the screen stating it's *about* to standby, but sits there indefinitely), or it wouldn't resume, or it would resume the first time but if I put it into standby again in the same session it wouldn't resume the second time, or it would resume but brightness and/or resolution wasn't working...you get the picture.

So I clean installed, and *yay*, same problem. Tried different graphics drivers and everything. Vista is all patched up, and services have been trimmed individually with no offending cause found yet.

Can you guys do this for me?

    1. Boot into Vista like normal.
    2. Go into standby. If that works normally...
    3. Resume. If that works normally...
    4. Go into standby again. If that works normally...
    5. Resume again. If you got this far and there's nothing wrong, I am officially envious.

Any ideas? Or is everyone in the same boat?

    Thanks,

    Brian
