It is safe to say never. The only reason why it would be remotely possible is because of the 25% decrease in space Montevina but still...

Dell has the Alienware m15x 15.4'' with the 8800M GTX. There is no problems with cooling it down, etc. Though think of the drawbacks of it.

    1) Battery life of the Alienware m15x, due to the gfx card and all the cooling it requires, is just about 50 minutes. Almost an hour. Even disabling the graphics card, the cooling systems still run and result in only about an hour and 10 minutes max.

    2) Weight. Its heavier than many of the other 15 inch notebooks out in the market.

XPS is the premium line. Not only looks sleek, which can't be accomplished with the 8800GTX, but also very usable with maxed functionality. Battery life with 6-cell is about 2 hours 30 minutes. You can forget about lightness and thinness with a 8800M GTX.

somehow maybe they could mysteriously fit an integrated card and a dedicated card under the chasis with some alien weight savers... u'll probably get the battery problem solved... but then this is like impossible for dell :p

Yeah, it does. Integrated is embedded with the chipset. Except for Montevina, which doesn't have it and wont have one until mid August to mid September, but thats beside the point.

Alienware does have both integrated and dedicated (8800M GTX) and there are two keys that you can press on the keyboard do go into stealth mode where you use only the Integrated and not the dedicated thus saving battery life. Like I mendioned in my earlier post:

I'm referring to disabling the 8800M GTX graphics card and using the integrated when your doing word processing, non-gaming etc. Sorry I wasn't clear enough earlier. The battery life saving is not significant at all because the cooling system still running, etc.

    Dell won't offer a 9800M series card in a 15".

Thats just as bad as 8800M GTX.

Another fine example why we wont see 8800M GTX in laptop XPS line.
