14z backlit keyboard Canada

Is it possible to get this upgrade in Canada? The sales reps I spoke to said no but I read on another thread that someone else managed to get it... is it just a matter of insisting?

 

The sales rep that I ordered from allowed me to order the backlit keyboard as I said that was one option that I wanted. I ordered through an EPP rep so I don't know if that makes a difference but I would try to go through someone else to get one.

 

It depends on the stock levels and the rep you speak to, but there should be no reason they'd not sell you one over the phone. They often take items that are low on stock off their website as this is where the majority of orders are placed / based on. You'd be suprised how many people don't even realise you can ask for a backlit keyboard.

haha jabbok my notebook has the same arrival time and specs as yours.. except the backlit keyboard (and the hard drive)

 

You should be able to get the backlit keyboard but they will cancel your order and reorder it for you this is what they did with mine as I made a change for the external dvd drive and they had to cancel the whole order which made my ship date a week later otherwise I it would have shipped on the 24th.

Did you get the same color?

 

nope, i ordered blue (blue like midnight)
i'm gonna try to get the keyboard tomorrow (i also just found out i might be eligible for EPP, which is good too)

 

The blue looks nice but i decided I would be adventurous and get the red, I usually stick with black.

Any discount is good I was able to get 12% off for the EPP, hope you get the backlit keyboard.

paid 1180 before taxes.. i don't think its worth that much, i only got 7% off with EPP couldve done better probably.. i also bought a bunch of accessories i didnt really get a discount on
but hey, all i had to do was copy-paste your specs and change the hard drive/colour haha

Good for you that is a good price as well, I paid $1312.00 but I also got the 500gb 7200rpm hdd, microsoft office student and teacher and mcafee for 36 months I didn't want it but they wouldn't take anything off so I just kept it.
