    1440x900 in Ubuntu 1525 for Canada

    I was one of the lucky few that got a 1525 with the 1440x900 LG display in early January before they took the option away. I guess they are really trying to divide the Inspiron line from the xps line. I don't think its a stock availability issue as I think its the same screen used in the xps line.

    But, I noticed that the Ubuntu 1525 does have the option for the 1440x900 display but only in Canada:

    I'm guessing that if someone did not want to use Ubuntu, they could actually do a fresh install and use a Windows OS correct? This might be be the answer for those looking for the 1440x900 resolution on the 1525...although, its a basic configuration that must be upgraded so it's more pricey than the Vista version which may then not be worth it.
