Well, I received my 1420 a few days ago, and at first boot up I got the BSOD. Anyhow, I must say that I am quite pleased with dell's quick service. They sent a tech over the next day to see what's wrong with the laptop. He gave me a new hard drive; however, the BSOD was still occuring. So the next day, the tech gave me a call and gave me the number to get a new one, which should be delivered in 3-5 business days(next, friday at most).

P.S. Though I really don't like Vista, I'm getting the hang of it and will accept it as an OS. Also, the screen is nice. It isn't grainy and there is really really really little light leakage on the bottom that is hardly noticeable, unless you really try to spot it. I also like the build of the 1420, and the comfortable size. And for anyone that games- it runs really smooth with the 8400 GS. I run WCIII on high settings without a problem, and CS at 100 fps without a problem. And yeah..

Yeah, I have 3 year complete care. My screen size is 1280x800. It's the glossy high contrast one.
