Hi All, Ok - so most of you know that I have "stalled" in getting my notebook ordered. Well, now that I am on vacation for a little bit...and actually have the funds, I think it is about time I actually get it finalized

I was set on purchasing the 1420 - but then the 1530 came out ~ and I started slowly following the reviews, and the deals - and did a few configurations.

My question is - since I am not really a "gamer" - and this seems like more of a gaming machine - Would the 1530 be too much for me? (Remember, my main usage is internet, multi-tasking, heavy music downloading/burning, dvd burning, pictures, e-mailing, taking where wifi capable)

I configured the 1530 w/the discount and it is actually almost $200 cheaper than what I have configured in the past w/the 1420 - and it has a little more "bells and whistles" per se.

Let me know what you think, and thanks :)

Thanks! That's what I was thinking. I do agree the 1530 does look good~ ;)
Lightweight also! What size battery did you order? And, what color?

I was thinking the Ruby Red, if i ordered it.

I'll post my specs once I near finalization!

the xps is dell's flagship brand......if you're not a gamer I would go with the 1330? only because its extra portable! However, the 1530 is a great all-purpose laptop :D

One is 14.1" and one is 15.4" 14.1" are generally more expensive as the 15.4" are the mainstream and most popular size. smaller or bigger than a 15.4" and it's gonna be more expensive.

I would go for the 1530 for sure, its much better design. Slimmer, sleeker, sexier and lighter.

Like said above, if your not a gamer go with the M1330, it's sooooo sexy. If your a gamer go for M1530.

Thanks all! Look's like I'm definitely leaning towards that 1530 - but now that some of you have mentioned the 1330 ~ I am going to have to look at that, also ;)

I will post the specs bet. the 1530 & 1330 for some final tweaking!!

Oh, and @ Big V that would be "legal" heavy music downloading/burning, dvd burning! tee hee LOL :) ;)
