    my son sen tme his laptop because it crashed and he cannot get the recovery disk to work, so i;m just reformating the harddrive until i noticed the batterly light indicator was flashing orange. turn it off and unplugged it.

    can find any info from dell or in the manual. can someone explain to me what this means.

    also, the laptop was plugged in and the battery was about 75% charged up when it started flashing orange.

    Odd, never seen that before. It sounds like a problem and I would hit up the tech support chat.
