Anyone replace their RAM by themselves for a 1420?

I want to know if you are able to access both slots for the RAM modules on the bottom of the laptop. I heard you can only access one slot from the bottom and had to remove to keyboard to access the other one... is this true??

According to the service manual, both memory modules are on the bottom of the computer.

If I remember it correctly, they are on top of each other. I did that a couple months ago.

I got a free upgrade from Dell and did the upgrade myself. They both are accessible and they are laid out one on top of the other. It's extremely simple and easy to do the upgrade yourself. It doesn't take even a minute to change them.

The tough part is getting a good screwdriver to remove the 3 screws off the cover. They are hard to unscrew :)
