My 1420 will be starting class duty soon. I will be opening it at least 5 times a day if not more. I know the laptop has been around for over a year, so just wondering how the hinges are holding up on the older machines.

When I got this laptop, it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to open it. I was trying to open the latch ... which apparently there is none.

I've had my 1420 for a about a year now. It's still pretty tight, I wouldn't say it's much worse than it was when I got it.
