I have read nearly a 100 post on the 1420 14.1" screens.
My problem isn't getting Dell to replace my screen... I need to replace it myself because I cracked it.
I am more then capable of replacing it as I have done it before (different laptop).
What I am trying to figure out is what is the best LCD for the 1440 x 900 wxga+
If someone has the actual part number off the rear of the LCD panel that would be what I need to find a store that sells replacement LCD's.
I don't need the DELL part number because I'm not going to order it from them.
If I have done my research correctly there should be 3 brands of 1440x900 wxga+ LCD's
1) SEC
2) AUO
3) LG
PLEASE post your part/model number off the rear of the LCD panel.

Where'd you see an LG 14.1" 1440X900 screen?
Avoid the AU Optronics - the one I got with mine was muy grainy. I had Dell replace it with the SEC4457 (Samsung). -
This is the info I found for the LG on there website.
