The coupon for $300 off was working yesterday, but Dell doesn't recognize it today. It was good from 7/25 to 8/1. Anyone know how to redeem that? I want the extra savings and am frustrated this won't work.

Also - on Saturday they allowed me to opt out of McAfee and now won't. The sales person on live chat couldn't do that for me yesterday, but today the person on the phone will. Anyone have this experience? With the two savings combined, it was a really great deal I should have pulled the trigger on.

you have to give us more information. are you saying that you signed up for complete care and then opt out of mcafee for money? i'm pretty sure that if you just went with the bare minimum warranty, the anti-virus software is free and you can't save money on it anyway.

I only have the basic warranty. The minimum cost option is 15 months of McAfee, but this weekend you could just decline anti-virus software. I'm just going through the basic build process on the web site.

I already have an account for the desktop I built and can add protection to my laptop for $10, and save some money net.

Are you talking about the $300 coupon on the top of the page? That is limited to x number or uses or 8/1 - whichever comes first. Seems the maximum number of uses have been reached, and it is no longer valid.
