I read a couple of threads saying that disabling the A-Band on the Wifi will stop the Audio from sounding choppy.

So my question is.... since the Dell Wifi is only compatible with G-Band, as long as you don't get the Intel A/G-Band Wifi card (and get the Dell card) you shouldn't have a problem with the audio sounding choppy, right?

Does anyone have a (1420) Dell WIFI card and experience the audio stutter???

Yup, I definitely have the same problem even w/out the A wireless. I had Dell replace my mobo to no avail.

It's a driver issue. I have SigmaTel Audio and after I upgraded from XP to Vista, the audio was perfectly fine with the Vista Sound Driver, but once I installed the SigmaTel Audio Driver, my audio has stuttered during song playing.

Did you find a solution to this problem?

    Did you rollback your driver?

My problem went away with that audio codec. Dell sent it to me for free for some reason :D

Was it a driver or what?

And no onlycurious, the driver I installed was from Dell's support site, and it's the "initial release" driver for the SigmaTel Audio.

I've gotten used to it, as it's a very minor issue compared to what COULD be wrong.

Er I meant to say the Creative thingy they sent me. Whatever that 30 dollars they'd ask you when buying.
