    1405 to TV

    Just got E1405 but did not purchase the tv tuner card. Can I still play dvd and see pics from my laptop to the computer. Is the only thing I can't do without a tuner card is watch tv on laptop? Thanks

    What do you exactly mean by “Can I still play dvd and see pics from my laptop to the computer.” Do you mean watching them on a TV ? or watching them on an external monitor ? Or transferring media content from your notebook to another computer through a network ?

    Assuming you want to connect the output to a TV , then Yes, you don’t need a TV card to get your display on TV. Use the supplied S-Video to standard AV converter cable and press Ctrl + Alt + F2 or set the output to TV from advanced display settings. Only things you will miss without a TV card is the ability to watch TV on your notebook and capture video from an external source like DVDPlayer, VCR etc..
