Can anyone tell me if there is a noticeable difference in battery life in a 1400 with the X3100 and one with the 128 nVidia? My specs are 1.6 Ghz, 1gb ram, DVD burner, 6-cell battery.

    Thanks in advance.

There will be a noticable difference.

Like from 2.5 to 2 or 2.5 to 1? I can't change it, and forgive me for sounding spoiled cuz I'm getting it for practically free ($600 for 1.6 Ghz, 1gb ram, dvd burner)

Maybe 30 minute loss of runtime. Like anything with runtime, this varies A LOT by what you are doing with the system. I can get 3.5+ hours of system use on my 1400 and a 9 cell. That is with wireless on and the screen brightness on 5/7 or so.

I am not playing games on it either. Like I said, I get 3.5 hours (roughly!) of web surfing and office work with wireless enabled, bluetooth on, and the screen at a decent brightness.
