I've increased the speed setting on my trackpad, but after I restart it I often find the faster setting has been lost. I was logged in as Adminstrator when I made the settings and when the settings disappeared later on. Any suggestions?

Interesting comment... I have another thread about my similar issues with the dell bluetooth mouse. I'll dig deeper to see if that is related.

By the way, I noticed that the touchpad settings seem to be getting wiped when the system fails to wake from sleep, or when shutdown goes awry, so it seems like the issue may simply be that windows doesn't get around to writing the settings out.
