I wanted to purchase the 1330 with the LED screen but Dell.ca no longer offers it as an option. I was told the manufacurer will no longer provide them for this model, period. That was all I could find out. Too bad I was really looking forward to this screen. Is there a problem with these screens? Has anyone else heard anything? I can only find one thread that identifies a problem. I notice Dell.com in the US still offers them. Maybe this is represents old stock.

Buy from USA and take it to Canada. That is your best option now. No, Dell USA does not have old stock. Infact Dell may drop CCFLs.

I'm guessing Dell is trying to meet higher demand for US for the holiday season.

Yeah, I don't think this has anything to do with the 1530 coming out soon as the screen size is different (therefore supply shouldn't be an issue). I couldn't tell ya if this is a bad sign of things to come for the 1330 or just Dell trying to rework their website (sometimes strange things go on at Dell.com when they are reconfiguring things).

Anyone wanting LED could wait a week or two for the M1530 to come out. It shouldn't be too much bigger or heavier than the 1330 anyway....
