i have used I8kfan before with my older inspiron. is there any app i can use for the XPS not NHC ..

my temp seems to run up to abt 44c idle however the fans don't seem to turn on to cool it further. and even if it is on i find that the end of the laptop just under where the headphone jack is heats up, any way i can cool it as i want to use the XPS on my lap

i did try the I8K after configuring the sensor according to a post here earlier. the fans turn on but don't seem to turn off even when i restart the system leading me to shutdown pull the battery out

the front end still is quite warm even at 40c, the rest of the system is pretty cool has this something to do with the T9300 processor?
