OK I am not a big pc gamer. I have an xbox 360 so that is what i play my games on. Would I be able to view high defintion videos with the 128mb. Also is there a big difference between the two graphic cards?

Ya anything thats not intergrated will be able to do HD stuff. The 8400GS is a pretty good card for general purpose. just not gaming.

there is a big difference between those two cards.

the 8600m gt is much faster. it is approaching the power of your xbox360 gpu.

the 8400m gs is a very crippled card by comparison. it WOULD help a lot with high def. video though. I think it can run high def video (h.264 only - you find that in blu-ray and hd-dvd, and its pretty common) entirely on its own, without using the cpu.
