    I got a call from dell earlier that the graphics card i ordered, 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS, was delayed.

    I find it weird since other people got hte same card and are STILL getting into boxing stage while im stuck at build.


    Did anyone else order this chip and get a call saying it was delayed?

    dang, that sucks. I dont see how people who ordered after me are getting theirs, and they have the same card.

    i guess its all random. I was really hoping to get my laptop next week, which i would if they werent delayed.

    Frankly I never trust the order status...sometimes it still shows "building" when you have already received it, when other times it shows as being complete when in fact it is delayed.

    In short: order status system on Dell's site = worthless.

    actually just chatted with dell and they said they are backordered on one or some of the components i ordered. but couldnt tell me which one so i sent an email to the manager to ask what part it is.
