    Hi! ive been a lurker for awhile and finally decided to join :p, but not without questions!

    I was browsing around looking to see if there is a 12-cell for my 1520, i couldnt find one on ebay or any battery site (including a search on notebookreview)

    BUT what i did find was a post a person made on yougamers.com

    Apparently he has a 1720 with a 12-cell. If i remember right the 1520 shares the same battery.

    I started searching for a 12-cell for the 1720 and still couldnt find anything.
    Also in that same thread another person with a vostro 1500 that says he got a 512MB DDR3 version of the 8600M GT. Now i cant find any of these parts anywhere. I browsed the UK dell site (where the 12-cell is from) and found nothing.

    I don't think there is a 12-cell battery. Max I saw on the Dell site is 9-cell at most. That should be searchable.

    About the 8600M GT 512MB DDR3, it's not something you can find easily. Only way to contact suppliers who sell laptops containing this GPU.

    Thats what i was thinking too, but that thread i posted to just confuses me. Im starting to think they're lying.

    Dell does not offer a 12 cell for the 1520 or 1720 system. They offer 6 cell and 9 cell batteries.

    Yep, there is no such thing. The 9 cell sticks out the back already.

    well i have 2 9 cells and i understand it sticks out :laugh:
