I would like the Dell D420 keyboard on a desktop, USB I suppose.

I like the size and design of the keyboard. it's 85 keys and nicely positioned keys.. and I don't have a ruler but it's about 10")

Consider looking into the ThinkPad UltraNav keyboard? I don't think there is a Dell equivalent, though.

i'm not sure if i want the mouse pad.. maybe I do..

But I don't want the number pad. That keyboard must be much wider, it has a number kad on the right. The Dell D420 one doesn't.
