I just purchased this and am waiting on it to arrive. I bought it with 1 gig and the vista preium, knowing i am going to upgrade myself to the 2 gig. My question is do you know if dell ships this model with a stick of 1 gig ram or 2 sticks of 512. Im hoping just a stick of 1 GB, that way i can use the other slot for another stick of 1 gig.
    Thanks in advance.

It should've said when you ordered it if it was configured 1x1024 or 2x512.

Most OEMs actually put in two 2 sticks of the smaller sort since they get those for less than 1GB ram sticks

you can always sell the 2 sticks of 512 mb to make some money.
